On November 10, DonorUA held the Сorporate Blood Donor Day event for the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine. During the event, 49 donors donated blood for the needs of military and civilian patients. The blood collection was carried out by the team of the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery in Kyiv.

"Most of the American Chamber of Commerce employees have been donating blood for a long time and regularly. This is not the first time their team has done it together with DonorUA, and we are grateful for the trust and support of the donor movement. Every new Сorporate Blood Donor Day event is about a special experience that people get and about a common great goal when people share blood just because it's cool. It is also an investment in the development of the donor movement in Ukraine," comments Iryna Slavinska, co-founder of DonorUA and President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Blood Donors of Ukraine.

49 donors equal 22 liters of blood that saves lives. Each donation is an opportunity to save the lives of three people in need of transfusion. Any of us can find ourselves in such a situation, and developing a culture of donation is the key to timely help for all of us.

The Сorporate Blood Donor Day events are an opportunity for businesses and government agencies to join the donor movement in an organized manner. Such events enhance corporate social responsibility of companies and the culture of donation in society. The funds raised by such events allow DonorUA to organize other thematic events to attract donors, conduct educational activities and fund donated blood deliveries to the frontline regions.
