On February 28, the DonorUA platform (NGO "All-Ukrainian Association of Blood Donors") and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The aim of the partnership is the development of free donation and ensuring equal and timely access for patients to quality and safe blood components.

"DonorUA has been cooperating with the Ministry of Health for several years, and our joint activities have become particularly important and fruitful during the full-scale war. Together, we helped the blood system withstand unprecedented challenges, including organizing regular blood transportation for frontline needs. Thus, our joint work continues," comments Iryna Slavinska, co-founder of DonorUA and President of the NGO "All-Ukrainian Association of Blood Donors".

According to the Memorandum, the cooperation involves implementing joint projects in the field of popularizing donation, recruiting new donors, conducting relevant information campaigns, and transforming the blood system.

In October 2022, DonorUA already signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the SPU "Ukrainian Transplant Coordination Center" of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and the official registration of partnership with the Ministry itself is the next step in the platform's cooperation with the state. Thank you for your trust!

Since 2022, Iryna Slavinska has also been a member of the Operational Headquarters of the Ministry of Health to coordinate activities in the field of blood donation and blood component donation, functioning of the blood system in conditions of martial law. In particular, thanks to this, DonorUA has helped the state carry out more than 80 deliveries of donor blood and its components to frontline hospitals.
