On August 9, DonorUA held the Corporate Blood Donor Day event for MacPaw, a Ukrainian IT company that creates and distributes apps for macOS and iOS. During the event, placed at the company's office, 37 employees donated blood for the needs of military and civilian patients. The collection was carried out by a field team of the Kyiv Regional Blood Center.

"We regularly hold the Corporate Blood Donor Day event in our company, because it is a party with a double benefit: an important social initiative that helps save lives and team building. The option of having the blood donation field team come to the office is very convenient and allows us to increase the number of donors. We have been choosing DonorUA as a partner for several years in a row," says Oksana Plakhotniuk, manager of the MacPaw Foundation.

37 donors equal almost 17 liters of donated blood that saves lives. Each donation is an opportunity to give hope to three people who need a blood or blood components transfusion. Any of us can find ourselves in such a situation, and developing a culture of donation is the key to timely help for all of us.

Corporate Blood Donation events are an opportunity for businesses and government agencies to join the donor movement in an organized way. Such events develop corporate social responsibility of companies and the culture of donation in society. If the event is paid for, the funds raised allow DonorUA to organize other thematic events to attract donors, conduct educational activities and transport donated blood to the frontline regions.
