Iryna Slavinska and DonorUA received an award from AABB, the world's specialized association for blood donation.

Iryna as the first Ukrainian citizen and DonorUA as the first Ukrainian organization in AABB awarding history were praised for invaluable work in helping to maintain the safety, adequacy and continuity of the blood supply in Ukraine amidst extraordinary challenges.

DonorUA has been at the forefront of enhancing blood donation practices in Ukraine since its inception in 2014. As a non-profit organization, they have been a vital recruitment and coordination platform.

DonorUA, are driven by a singular purpose: saving lives through blood donation. Our unwavering commitment, backed by innovative IT solutions and strategic partnerships, is making a profound impact on healthcare in Ukraine, fostering a culture of voluntary blood donation, and ultimately contributing to safer and healthier communities.

Currently, DonorUA is the only digitized blood donor platform in Ukraine with more than 140k blood donors. The system allows you to keep a donation calendar, store certificates, and schedule your blood donations. DonorUA also contains the largest knowledge base and provides consulting to anyone who wants to join the donor movement.

AABB (Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies) is an international, not-for-profit organization representing individuals and institutions involved in the fields of transfusion medicine and biotherapies. The Association works collaboratively to advance the field through the development and delivery of standards, accreditation and education programs. AABB is dedicated to its mission of improving lives by making transfusion medicine and biotherapies safe, available and effective worldwide
