50 donors donated blood on November 18 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kyiv Podil City Centre. It was a new collection within the monthly event of "Add Some Red" campaign by DonorUA. The blood was collected by the team of the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery for the needs of military and civilian patients.
"Every blood donation is a celebration, because it can save up to three human lives. Every donor knows this quiet but special joy after each procedure. The Add Some Red project makes this celebration visible for as many people as possible to see how easy and enjoyable it can be when you save lives. The blood collected on that Saturday can be used to treat 150 people - wounded soldiers, children and adults with serious illnesses. We thank everyone who joins the donor movement!" comments Iryna Slavinska, co-founder of DonorUA and President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Blood Donors of Ukraine.
50 donors provided 22.5 liters of blood for military and civilian patients. Photos from the event are here.
You can also Add Some Red financially since DonorUA directs all such donations to the development of the blood donor movement and events for comfortable blood collection.
