In Kyiv, 38 donors gave blood at an on-site blood collection at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kyiv Podil City Centre on January 13th. The event was part of the DonorUA monthly "Add Some Red" campaign.

Despite the fact that more than 70 donors had signed up, the event had to be interrupted due to an air raid alert. However, we were still able to collect enough blood for 100 patients, both military and civilian. We would like to thank the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine for protecting us. Iryna Slavinska, co-founder of DonorUA and president of the All-Ukrainian Association of Donors of Ukraine, expressed gratitude towards the donors and partners for their contribution. Their generosity enabled a successful blood donation event, organized in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

A total of 17 liters of blood was collected from 38 donors by the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery team. This blood will be a lifesaver for both military and civilian patients of the institute.

Monthly 'Add Some Red" campaign takes place in Kyiv aimed at replenishing the blood supply and promoting the idea that donating can be both interesting and fun.
