F.C. "Orion" and F.C. "Vinnytsia Youth" have joined forces into one donor team within the DonorUA for Teams system to collectively aid patients in Vinnytsia and soldiers on the front lines. In less than a year, the footballers collectively donated blood 57 times, gathering over 25 liters and saving up to 170 lives.

"Before forming a team in DonorUA for Teams, my friends and I had already donated blood several times. It was what you might call family donation - we were asked to help someone we knew. This is how my own donation story began, as I and another player donated blood for his relative. As we became more interested in this topic, we found out that there were other donors in our team, some of them even regular ones. For instance, the leader of our community has donated blood over 30 times," comments Volodymyr Krakovetskyi, captain of the "Vinnytsia Youth" team and Software Developer at DonorUA.

"Vinnytsia Youth" is based in Vinnytsia, while "Orion" is based in the village of Mali Krushlyntsi in Vinnytsia Oblast. The captain of "Orion," Maksym Havryshchuk, has been defending Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces for over a year.

The athletes are united by the desire to share blood and help others, and they had long wanted to try doing it together. However, organizing a joint trip to the blood center is challenging. Therefore, friends do it independently at a convenient time for each, and DonorUA for Teams allows them to collect all donations under one "umbrella" and increase the collective figure. However, whenever possible, the footballers still try to donate blood together.

"DonorUA conducts mobile blood drives in Vinnytsia, and I always invite the guys to join such an event, not only to donate blood but also to draw the attention of friends and acquaintances to the topic of donation. A football team is a circle of friends, and it is always pleasant to meet not only on the football field but especially when you are doing a socially useful thing together," says Volodymyr Krakovetskyi.

DonorUA for Teams has become the title partner of the team, and its logo is placed on the team's jerseys. DonorUA for Teams is a solution for team and corporate blood donation.
